The academic advising and support unit provides guidance services to students in order to meet their academic requirements and improve their skills in the face of various difficulties during their studies, which may adversely affect their academic performance. The unit works in collaboration with the other departments of the college to improve services to support the educational process. The academic advising unit also seeks to raise the level of advising services to accompany the advising services at the Higher Education Institution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Objectives of the Academic Advising and Support Unit<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Provide the necessary support for the student during his\/her academic career to achieve the completion of the requirements of the study plan within the required time.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Discuss the problems that may face the student during the study and work on finding appropriate solutions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. To follow up the progress reports of the student during his\/her studies and evaluation, and to follow up the performance of stumbling student academic and improve its level. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    The Student Performance Evaluation Committee plays a crucial role in assessing and evaluating the academic progress and performance of students within the college, it identifies students who may be academically struggling or who are at risk of failing to meet academic standards, it also helps in developing action plans to provide additional support.  Their efforts contribute to fostering a supportive learning environment and helping students overcome challenges to achieve their educational goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Student Support Committee<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The Student Support Committee is typically responsible for providing various forms of assistance to students to ensure their well-being, success, and overall satisfaction with their educational experience, by assessing the students need, including academic, emotional, social, financial, and personal needs.  It Receives academic advisors\u2019 recommendations, following up on student support cases, and working to motivate them on both the academic and personal levels. In addition, it directs student problems to the responsible authorities and follows up on their treatment based on the advisors\u2019 recommendations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The Complaint Committee:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The Complaint Committee serves a vital role in addressing and resolving complaints or grievances raised by students, faculty, staff, or other members of Vision Medical College. It receives complaints or grievances regarding various issues such as academic matters, discrimination, harassment, and ethical violations.  Upon receiving a complaint, the committee directs the complaint to the authorized department, ensuring the confidentiality of all parties involved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The college provides a safe and convenient electronic means for submitting complaints to the college vice dean for academic affairs, with the possibility of following them up via e-mail or student affairs.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The Psychological Support Committee plays a vital role in promoting and maintaining the mental well-being of students, faculty, and staff within the college, by providing support and evaluation services to students and faculty referring individuals to psychiatric help if necessary. Ensuring the confidentiality and privacy of individuals at all times.  Recently, “Vision Medical College in Jeddah signed a collaboration agreement with \u2018Mutmaennah\u201d<\/strong>, a psychiatric clinic in Jeddah, the clinic is a leading centre in the field of psychiatric medicine, psychological counselling, and training. This agreement aims to build a cooperative relationship for both parties emphasized their collaboration in enhancing the psychological awareness of students by providing therapeutic sessions, psychological consultations, and training courses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
