Conditions of Admission at Vision Colleges

Admission Requirements for VCJ:

Admission requirements for the Dental Program, considering the admission terms determined by the Ministry of Education:

  1. Obtaining the specified average and grade in the General Aptitude Test (70%) and the achievement admission test (70%).
  2. The applicant must obtain a high school diploma in Natural Science or equivalent from inside or outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with a GPA no less than 90%.
  3. The applicant must have good conduct.
  4. A period no more than 5 years should have passed since obtaining a high school certificate.
  5. Submit a medical examination report from an approved health authority.
  6. The applicant must successfully pass the interview.
  7. The applicant must not be previously dismissed for academic or disciplinary reasons from any other university or educational institution.
  8. Transfer students must obtain a cumulative GPA no less than 3 out of 5.
  9. The applicant should fulfill any other requirements determined by the College Board announced at the time of application.
  10. The applicant must not attend any other university inside or outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
  11. Obtaining approval from his work to devote himself to study if he works in any governmental or private institution.
  12. The total number of students to be accepted for admission is determined in the beginning of each semester according to the Ministry of Education regulations and policies.
  13. The applicant must score no less than 70% in the admission test for science majors.
  14. The applicant must score no less than 70% in the General Aptitude Test (GAT) for science majors.
  15. The best candidates who meet all the requirements are selected according to their high grades earned in high school, interviews, and admission exams if any.

Admission requirements for the general program of Nursing, considering the admission terms determined by the Ministry of Education:

  1. The total number of students to be accepted for admission is determined in the beginning of each semester according to the Ministry of Education regulations and policies.
  2. Obtaining the specified average and grade in the General Aptitude Test (50%) and the achievement admission test (50%).
  3. The applicant must obtain a high school diploma in Natural Science or equivalent from inside or outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with a GPA no less than 75%.
  4. The applicant must have good conduct.
  5. A period no more than 5 years should have passed since obtaining a high school diploma.
  6. Submit a medical examination report from an approved health authority.
  7. The applicant must successfully pass the interview.
  8. The applicant must not be previously dismissed for academic or disciplinary reasons from any other university or educational institution.
  9. The applicant should fulfill any other requirements determined by the College Board announced at the time of application.
  10. The applicant must not attend any other university inside or outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Conditions for enrollment in the Bridging program in Nursing, considering the admission terms determined by the Ministry of Education.

  1. Obtaining an intermediate university certificate or diploma of no less than two years after high school in one of the health disciplines classified as a health staff. The certificate must be awarded from an official and accredited authority in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
  2. The overall GPA must be no less than good or equivalent. In case of lower GPA, the student must enroll and successfully pass an additional academic semester in order to enhance his/her skills and abilities.
  3. The major in bridging program must be an extension of the student’s major in the intermediate university degree or diploma. In case of majors that don’t have a familiar extension of the previous degree, then each case should be dealt with separately when accepting students in a different specialty, through the course equivalency mechanism in accordance with the university study regulations.
  4. The student must have a valid professional classification and occupational enrollment from The Saudi Commission for Health Specialties when joining the bridging program
  5. For students who obtained intermediate university degree or diploma from abroad, an equivalence certificate must be issued from the Certificate Equalization Committee at The Ministry of Education.
  6. Obtaining approval from his work to devote himself to study if he works in any governmental or private institution.
  7. The student must successfully pass one of the standard tests for English language proficiency.
  8. Be of good manner and behavior.
  9. The student must not attend any other university inside or outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
  10. The student should fulfill any other requirements determined by the College Board announced at the time of application.

Admission Requirements for International School Graduates

  1. Meet the general admission requirements for admission to the college.
  2. The student is exempted from the general aptitude test if he/she obtains the International Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT I) with a minimum score of (1100/1600).
  3. The student is exempted from the achievement test if he successfully passed the program as shown in the tables below.
  4. Direct admission: The preparatory year subjects are equated with the scientific subjects in the International Baccalaureate program, which the student has successfully passed, as shown in the tables below; except the following subjects which are:
    • Medical Terminology
    • Islamic Culture 1
    • Arabic 1
    • Arabic language 2
    • Communication skills
    • For nursing students; Arabic language 2 is not required
  5. The student undertakes to pass these courses during the study years, as they are one of the requirements for graduation.
  6. The home education system is not accepted.
  7. The student must also submit one of the following English language tests: TOEFL 75 IBT or IELTS test 5.5.

Other educational systems:

Admission requirements for graduates from other countries:

  • Applicants from other international systems can follow one of the admission systems or apply for a high school certificate after it has been equalized by the Ministry of Education. After that, the applicant’s file will be evaluated based on his performance in the secondary stage and the personal interview of the college he/she is applying to, and the student must also fulfill one of the language requirements as mentioned before.

Admission Documents:

  • The original high school certificate or it is equivalent with a true copy.
  • A copy of the national ID + passport.
  • 6 photographs.
  • Transcript of aptitude test.
  • A true copy of the achievement admission test.
  • A medical examination from an accredited body.
  • Academic transcript certified and stamped (equivalent students).
  • Course descriptions (equivalent students).
  • The approval of the employer (if any).
  • Pay full tuition fees for each semester.
  • Tuition fees for one semester is:
    • Dentistry program (35,000 riyals) and nursing program (27,500 riyals).
    • (300) riyals for interview fees
    • Registration fees: is a non-refundable seat reservation fee of 5000 riyals (not including Value-Added Tax) paid after the admission and acceptance procedure.
