Saudi Board Programs
Introduction
Vision College of Dentistry and Nursing – Jeddah, KSA, has obtained the Institutional Accreditation and the Program Accreditation by following the executive rules from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS). The college acquired the Institutional Accreditation after fulfilling the institutional accreditation standards, which enabled the college to participate in the training process. While the Program Accreditation was achieved after obtaining the program accreditation criteria. The college had obtained the program accreditation in three programs at the Saudi Residency Certificates. The first program is the Saudi Board of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics in 2019. Secondly is the Saudi Board in Restorative Dentistry in 2020. The third program in Periodontics in 2020. The college earned these achievements after compliance with the accreditation standards, terms, and conditions by SCFHS. This recognition reflects its confidence in the advanced education and training outcomes provided by the college employees, that carried out by many qualified administrative and medical competencies, as well as high-level capabilities and equipment that qualified it to obtain this recognition. Prof. Ali Habiballah Hassan (previous dean) and Dr. Ibrahim Yamany ( previous vice dean ) have expressed their thanks and appreciation to all the college staff for achieving these accomplishments, which is considered supportive and motivating for them to earn more success.

Program Overview
“Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics is a discipline of dentistry that is concerned with the diagnosis, supervision, prevention, guidance, and correction of malocclusion and dentofacial problems. The SBO-DO program, a 3-year clinical training program in orthodontics, has been approved by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS). On completion of the program, a professional clinical degree “Saudi Board of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics” is attained”.

Saudi Board in Restorative Dentistry
“The Saudi Board Restorative Dentistry (SBRD) is extending for (3) years. The program is designed to provide didactic, clinical, and hospital training to upgrade the standards of the dental profession in Saudi Arabia. The instructions and experiences provided in the SBRD can prepare residents to be highly qualified restorative dentists who can treat restorative cases which include Operative and Fixed Prosthodontics treatment modalities”.
