The School Sports Cultural Competition for Education Directorates across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has officially commenced. The event is organized by the Saudi Sports Culture Federation in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and proudly sponsored at the platinum level by Vision Colleges. This initiative comes as part of ongoing efforts to enhance sports awareness and physical education culture among male and female students across the Kingdom.
It contributes to developing students’ knowledge in various fields including sports concepts, sports history, and sports rules and regulations, in addition to skills related to different types of sports. The competition is being held with the participation of 16 educational administrations from various regions of the Kingdom, where nominated teams compete to represent their regions in an enthusiastic atmosphere that reflects the level of sports awareness among students.
The competition focuses on promoting educational and sports values such as discipline, sportsmanship, respect, and teamwork, while enhancing critical thinking, analytical, and communication skills.
This contributes to developing positive behaviours among students and encourages them to adopt healthy and balanced lifestyles.
Regarding the implementation scope and participation mechanism, the competition is conducted at the level of educational administration, where each administration nominates a team to represent it.
The competition takes place across multiple stages, beginning with preliminary rounds and progressing to the final stage. It covers various sports and cultural topics, including local and international sports history, achievements of Saudi sports, sports championships and events, sports facilities and projects, safety and first aid, sports laws and regulations, sports skills, sports nutrition, and physical fitness.
The competitions are held among educational administrations according to an approved schedule, with preliminary rounds conducted through the official electronic platform of the Saudi Federation for Sports Culture.
The competitions are supervised by a designated coordinator within each educational administration, ensuring teams are technically prepared before the start. The final match will be held in person in Riyadh.
The organizing committee has allocated valuable prizes for the winners. First place will receive a cash prize, the championship trophy, and certificates of appreciation, while second place will receive a cash prize, a commemorative shield, and certificates of appreciation.
The organizers confirmed that this competition is part of initiatives to promote sports culture within the school community and contributes to achieving Saudi Vision 2030 by preparing a knowledgeable generation with strong sports and health awareness. The sponsorship from Vision Colleges reflects their commitment to supporting educational and community initiatives and to empowering youth.
