Admission Requirements at Vision Medical Colleges – Jeddah

    • General Admission requirements for Vision Medical College:

     

    1. Obtaining national or international General Secondary Certificate in Natural Sciences or its equivalent.
    2. To successfully pass any test or personal interview (announced at the time of application).
    3. Must be medically fit.
    4. The student must not have been expelled for disciplinary reasons from any university or any educational institution.
    5. The student’s acceptance will be canceled if the information provided by him/her turns.

    8. procedures in the semester in which he was accepted.

     

    B- Special conditions for the student’s admission to the college:

    First: Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery and Oral and Dental Medicine and Surgery:

    1. Obtaining a high school diploma for natural sciences or its equivalent from inside or outside the Kingdom, an aptitude and achievement test, and obtaining a weighted percentage of not less than (76%) and the weighted percentage will be calculated according to the following equation :(achievement×40%) + (secondary×30%) + (abilities×30%).
    2. For Transferors and Equivalents: A minimum CGPA of 3.5 out of 5 or equivalent from the previous program or college.

    Second: Admission requirements for the Bachelor of General Nursing program:

    1. Obtaining a high school diploma for natural sciences or its equivalent from inside or outside the Kingdom, aptitude, and achievement test, and obtaining a weighted percentage of not less than (56%) and the weighted percentage will be calculated according to the equation (achievement×40%) + (secondary×30%) + (abilities× 30%).
    2. For Transferors and Equivalents: Have a minimum CGPA of 3 out of 5 equivalents from the previous program and college.

     

    Bridging Program in General Nursing:

     

    1. Obtain an intermediate university degree or a diploma of no less than two years after completing high school in a health specialty classified as a health cadre.
    2. Achieve an overall average in the Intermediate University Certificate or Diploma program that is no less than “Good” or its equivalent. In case a student obtains a grade below “Good,” they must successfully complete a full semester (remedial semester).
    3. The specialization chosen for the bridging program must align with the student’s specialization in the intermediate university certificate or diploma. Each case will be handled individually, especially if a student is accepted into a different specialization. This will be done through the course equivalency mechanism in accordance with university education regulations.
    4. Have a valid professional classification and registration decision from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) at the time of enrollment in the bridging program.

    Nursing (Accelerated Track):

    1. The student must hold a High School Diploma (scientific track) or its equivalent from within or outside the Kingdom, and pass the Qudurat and Tahsili tests, obtaining a weighted score of no less than (65). The weighted score will be calculated according to the equation (Tahsili Test × 40%) + (High school GPA × 30%) + (Qudurat × 30%).
    2. If English is not the student’s native language, evidence of English proficiency must be provided. Accepted standardized English proficiency tests include:

    1. Good conduct and behavior are required.
    2. The student must pass the interview and admission test if applicable.
    3. The student must be medically fit.
    4. The student must not have been expelled from any university or educational institution for disciplinary reasons except after three years from the date of dismissal.
    5. Admission will be revoked if the information provided by the student is found to be
    6. Admission will be revoked if the student fails to complete the registration procedures for the semester in which they were accepted.

    Transferred students from Nursing Program into Nursing (Accelerated Track):

    • They are subject to all initial admission requirements of the Nursing (Accelerated Track).
    • To obtain a cumulative GPA of no less than 4 out of 5.

     

    Requirements for accepting applicants who hold a bachelor’s degree in a specific field and wish to pursue another bachelor’s degree in one of the available specializations offered at our college:

    1. The body conferring the applicant’s bachelor’s degree must be officially accredited by recognized authorities within the Kingdom.
    2. For applicants holding a bachelor’s degree from institutions outside the Kingdom, the degree certificate must undergo equivalency and authentication processes conducted by the Ministry of Education to validate its authenticity and equivalence.
    3. Applicants must have achieved an overall average in their bachelor’s degree program that meets or exceeds the minimum average required for transfer, as mentioned in Page.
    4. Admission Criteria for Different High School Tracks:
      1. Scientific Track: Applicants with a high school diploma in the scientific track are subject to the conditions.
      2. Non-Scientific Track: Applicants with a high school diploma from a non-scientific track may be accepted into the nursing program. However, they must successfully complete a qualifying semester with a minimum grade of (3.75 out of 5) to be eligible for admission.
    5. The subjects completed during the applicant’s bachelor’s degree program will be equated by the equivalency committee and subsequently approved by the dean of the college to ensure alignment with program requirements.
