Vision Medical College in Jeddah took part in the 34th edition of the Saudi International Dental Conference from 19 to 21 January under the auspices of His Excellency Mr. Fahd Ben Abdulmohsen Al-Rasheed, the CEO of the Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC).
The conference is a major specialized event for dentists, through which they provide an international forum that addresses the main challenges and controversial topics in cosmetic and restorative dentistry, prosthodontics, dental implants, dentistry, and digital dentistry.
Vision Medical College in Jeddah was represented through a scientific publication by two students, Abdullah Ben Mohamed Al Mazeeny and Abdulraheem Hany Hamada. The publication is titled Case Report: “Fused Distomolar with Mandibular Third Molar”.
The scientific publication includes a medical case with an incidence rate of one percent in all scientific papers.
This case is an abnormal adhesion of a supernumerary molar with the wisdom tooth and the two molars were buried within the bone. The two molars were extracted and examined clinically and microscopically. A scientific paper about this rare case will be published shortly in a scientific journal.
