Admission requirements

College of Medicine and Dentistry Admission Requirements

Human Medicine Program

The student must hold a General Secondary Education Certificate (scientific track) or its equivalent from inside or outside the Kingdom, and pass the aptitude and achievement tests, with a weighted score of no less than (76). The achievement test score should not be less than (70), and the weighted score will be calculated according to the equation: (Achievement × 40%) + (Secondary × 30%) + (Aptitude × 30%).

The student must have good conduct and behavior.

The student must pass the personal interview and admission test if available.

The student must be medically fit.

The student should not have been dismissed from another university or college for disciplinary reasons, except after 3 years from the date of dismissal.

Admission will be canceled if the information provided by the student is found to be inaccurate.

Admission will be canceled if the student does not complete the registration procedures in the semester in which they were accepted.

Dentistry Program

The student must hold a General Secondary Education Certificate (scientific track) or its equivalent from inside or outside the Kingdom, and pass the aptitude and achievement tests, with a weighted score of no less than (76). The weighted score will be calculated according to the equation: (Achievement × 40%) + (Secondary × 30%) + (Aptitude × 30%).

General Nursing Bridging Program

The student must hold a General Secondary Education Certificate (scientific track) or its equivalent from inside or outside the Kingdom.

Obtain an intermediate university degree or a diploma of no less than two years after high school in one of the health specializations.

The diploma must be equivalent by the Equivalency Committee at the Ministry of Education for students with intermediate university degrees or a diploma from outside the Kingdom.

The student’s overall GPA must not be less than (Good) or its equivalent. If the student’s GPA is lower than (Good), they must pass an additional semester.

The specialization in the nursing program should be an extension of the student’s specialization.

The student must have a valid professional classification and registration.

The student must be full-time throughout their enrollment in the bridging program.

The student must pass one of the standardized tests for English proficiency.

Transfer and Equivalency Bachelor’s Degree Holders

Transfer and equivalency students must meet all initial admission requirements according to the respective specialization, in addition to the cumulative GPA from the previous university, which should be:

Cumulative GPA of at least 3 out of 5 for the transferring university.

Cumulative GPA of at least 2.2 out of 4 for the transferring university.
