Admission Requirements & Process
The admission process can often seem complex and competitive, with various requirements that differ across institutions and programs, however, the Admission and Registration Unit (ARU) personnel worked hard to make the process clear and simple. This process typically involves understanding the admission requirements, preparing all needed documents such as transcripts, obtaining needed test scores, and submitting your application. Successfully navigating this journey requires careful planning, attention to detail, and a good understanding.
Admission Requirements for VMC:
General Admission Requirements:
- Obtaining a national or international General Secondary Certificate in Scientific path or its equivalent.
- To successfully pass any test or personal interview (announced at the time of application).
- Must be medically fit.
- The student must not have been expelled for disciplinary reasons from any university or any educational institution.
- The student’s acceptance will be canceled if the information provided by him turns out to be incorrect.
- The student’s admission will be canceled if he does not complete the registration procedures in the semester in which he was accepted.
- A comparison will be made between applicants who meet all conditions according to the weighted percentage and personal interview.
Special conditions for a student’s admission to the college:
First: Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery and Oral and Dental Medicine and Surgery:
- Obtaining a national or international General Secondary Certificate in Scientific path or its equivalent, an aptitude and achievement test, and obtaining a weighted percentage of no less than (76%). The weighted percentage will be calculated according to the following equation: (Achievement x 40%) + (Secondary School) × 30%) + (capabilities × 30%).
- For transferees and equivalents: Obtaining a cumulative GPA of no less than 3.5 out of 5 or its equivalent from the previous program or college.
- The obtained subjects are equated by the college’s equivalency committee to determine the academic level to which the student will be placed and are approved by the college dean.
Second: Admission requirements for the Bachelor of General Nursing program:
- Obtaining a national or international General Secondary Certificate in Scientific path or its equivalent, and an aptitude and achievement test, and obtaining a weighted percentage of no less than (56%). The weighted percentage will be calculated according to the equation (achievement x 40%) + (secondary school x 30). %) + (capacity x 30%).
Conditions for exemption from some academic courses
- The student is required to pass one of the international English language tests (STEP, IELTS, TOEFL) to be exempt from studying English language courses.
- An exemption request may be submitted at any time during the first academic year if the certificate is obtained after the beginning of the semester, provided that it is before the end of the withdrawal period for a course according to the academic calendar.
