The training period is 12 months, which the student spends in the college clinics and training centers approved by the college, during which rotation is done between the different departments. There is a valid agreement between the VCJ and the Ministry of Health in the Kingdom represented by the ministry’s hospitals, to supervise the training during the year of excellence in cooperation with the college administration. The hospital administration evaluates internship students using the assessment form approved by the college and in conformity with the conditions of the Ministry, after which the student is given a certificate of passing the internship period. The internship trainee must undergo the examination of the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties during or after the end of the internship period and his graduation from the college or according to the decisions of the Saudi Commission for Specialties to become a resident. After passing the examination of the Commission he can officially practice the profession.
